Ukraine has publicly released footage of its forces operating the newly developed Flamingo cruise missile, marking a significant milestone in its military capabilities. The video shows the missile being launched and successfully hitting its intended target, demonstrating the missile’s operational readiness.

The Flamingo, a domestically produced missile, boasts a range of approximately 3,000 kilometers, allowing it to strike targets at considerable distances. It is equipped with a 1,150 kg warhead, making it capable of reaching strategic locations beyond Ukraine’s borders, including targets situated behind the Ural Mountains.

This development signals a notable enhancement in Ukraine’s missile arsenal, potentially affecting regional security dynamics. The missile’s extended range could enable Ukraine to target distant military facilities and logistical hubs with greater precision and reach.

The Ukrainian military has emphasized that the Flamingo is part of its broader efforts to modernize its defense infrastructure. Both officials and analysts continue to monitor the missile’s deployment and operational effectiveness in the context of ongoing regional tensions.
