Ukrainian defense technology firm Fire Point has unveiled plans for two new missile systems, aiming to enhance the country’s military capabilities. The company announced the development of the FP-7, a ballistic missile with a range of up to 200 kilometers, a maximum speed of 1,500 meters per second, and a circular error probable (CEP) of 14 meters. It is designed to carry a 150-kilogram warhead with a flight duration of approximately 250 seconds.

In addition to the FP-7, Fire Point introduced the FP-9 missile system, which boasts a significantly longer range of up to 855 kilometers. Details on its other specifications, such as speed or payload, were not disclosed at this stage. The company also mentioned the development of advanced air defense systems, though specific features or deployment plans have not been detailed.

The announcement reflects ongoing efforts by Ukraine to bolster its military technology amid ongoing regional tensions. Defense analysts suggest these developments could significantly impact strategic capabilities, particularly if deployed effectively. However, official statements emphasize that the projects are still in progress, with further information expected upon completion.

Fire Point’s advancements come as Ukraine continues to seek modernized defense systems amid the broader geopolitical context of regional security concerns. The military applications and potential deployment of these new missile systems will likely draw attention from international partners and observers monitoring Ukraine’s defense readiness.
