Former U.S. President Donald Trump has reassured that there is “nothing to worry about” regarding his relationship with India, amid ongoing trade tensions between the two countries. Trump’s comments come as the United States continues to impose a 50% tariff on a range of Indian goods, a move designed to address trade imbalances and address concerns over market access.

Despite the recent tariffs, Trump emphasized his positive view of the bilateral relationship. “Our relationship with India is very strong, and there’s nothing to worry about,” he stated, suggesting confidence in ongoing diplomatic and economic ties. The tariffs have drawn criticism from Indian officials and business groups, who argue that they could harm trade relations and economic cooperation.

The U.S. and India have long engaged in discussions over trade issues, with the latter seeking to address perceived unfair trade practices and improve market access for its exports. While diplomatic rhetoric remains optimistic, the tariff measures and negotiations suggest some underlying tensions that could influence future relations. Both countries are expected to continue dialogue aimed at resolving trade disputes and strengthening their partnership.
