Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski responded to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s comments regarding recent military actions involving Russia. Trump had suggested that the recent drone incursions into Poland might have been accidental incidents or mistakes. In contrast, Sikorski emphasized that the Russian drone activity was deliberate.

During a statement, Sikorski highlighted the scale of recent Russian military operations, noting that on a particular night, 19 Russian drones targeted Poland, while 400 flew over Ukraine along with 40 missiles. He characterized these movements as planned and intentional rather than accidental errors, suggesting a calculated escalation by Russia.

Sikorski also specifically mentioned Shahed drones, which have been widely used by Russian forces in drone attacks. He underscored that such drone activities are coordinated and purposeful, contradicting the idea that they are mere mistakes or accidents. His remarks underscore Poland’s concern over Russia’s military tactics and the seriousness with which its government views the recent incursions.

The exchanges come amid ongoing tensions in the region, with Poland and neighboring countries closely observing Russia’s military operations. The Polish government continues to emphasize the need for vigilance and a firm stance against what it perceives as aggressive acts by Russia in the context of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
