Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) and BAE Systems have announced the formation of a strategic partnership to develop a new artillery ammunition manufacturing facility in Poland. The facility will focus on producing 155mm artillery shells, a key component for Poland’s military forces.

This collaboration aims to bolster Poland’s domestic defense production capabilities and increase the country’s self-sufficiency in battlefield munitions. The new plant is part of broader efforts to modernize the country’s military infrastructure and reduce reliance on foreign supplies.

Details regarding the project’s timeline and investment levels have not been disclosed. However, representatives from both PGZ and BAE Systems emphasized the strategic importance of enhancing Poland’s defense industry and strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The initiative reflects ongoing European efforts to enhance national defense readiness amid regional security concerns. The plant’s development is expected to contribute to Poland’s military modernization plans and its assurance of battlefield preparedness.
