Polish military expert General Maciej Materka has called for Poland to develop a security system modeled after Israel’s. In an interview with The Frontline Foundation, he highlighted Israel’s comprehensive civil preparedness, advanced intelligence capabilities, and technological innovations as key components of its resilience.
Materka emphasized that Israel’s security approach, which integrates civilian and military efforts, offers valuable lessons for Poland amid regional instability and emerging threats. He argued that adopting a similar “Israeli-style” ecosystem could bolster Poland’s national defense and civil resilience by fostering greater cooperation between government agencies, military units, and technological sectors.
The general noted that Israel’s focus on innovation and strategic intelligence gathering has been crucial to its security posture. He urged Poland to prioritize investments in technological research and intelligence infrastructure, alongside strengthening civil defense measures, to enhance overall national security.
