Poland’s Defense Minister, @KosiniakKamysz, announced a significant expansion in the country’s artillery shell production. The government plans to increase the production of 155 mm artillery shells by thirty times the current output.
According to the minister, several new production lines will be established, some employing automated manufacturing processes. These upgrades are expected to significantly boost the country’s military manufacturing capacity and supply chain resilience.
Once fully operational, the new production lines will enable Poland to produce up to 1 million shells annually, marking a substantial increase in its military ammunition stockpile. The move is seen as part of broader efforts to strengthen Poland’s defense capabilities amidst regional security concerns.
