Russia is reportedly transferring some Ukrainian children it has abducted to North Korea, where they are being held in military-style camps. This claim was made by Kateryna Rashevska, an expert at the Regional Center for Human Rights, during a speech before the U.S. Senate. Rashevska highlighted concerns over efforts by Russian authorities to relocate these children to foreign territories.

According to Rashevska, approximately 165 facilities are involved in the detention and alleged transfer of Ukrainian minors. She described these sites as military camps, raising alarms about the security and humanitarian implications of such actions. The claims contribute to ongoing international concerns regarding the treatment of Ukrainian civilians and the use of forced transfers amid ongoing conflicts.

Russian officials have not publicly responded to these allegations. The situation continues to draw scrutiny from human rights organizations and Western governments, which are calling for independent investigations. The international community remains wary of reports suggesting the misuse of children in conflict zones and mandates urgent attention to protect vulnerable populations.
