The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has intensified its anti-terror operations in the Judea and Samaria regions as part of ongoing efforts to combat terrorism. These increased security measures have contributed to a significant decline in terrorist incidents, with reports indicating a 78% decrease in such activities in 2025 compared to previous years.

Despite these security improvements, challenges remain. The Palestinian Authority (PA), which governs parts of the West Bank, has continued to support terrorist activities through indirect means, including the controversial “Pay-for-Slay” programs. These initiatives reportedly provide financial incentives to individuals involved in attacks against Israelis, complicating efforts to achieve long-term peace and stability in the area.

The reduction in incidents has been viewed by some as a positive outcome of heightened security efforts, yet analysts emphasize that the underlying support structures for terrorists persist. Diplomatic efforts and security measures continue to be debated as part of broader strategies to ensure security while addressing the root causes of unrest.
